The quietest, most colorful and most secretive of Southern California's Amazons is the Red-lored Parrot. Their quiet nature characterized by a whistle-like call makes them appear almost shy. To the contrary, the Red-lored Parrot may show-up almost anywhere -- sometimes with the large flocks, sometimes together and sometimes alone.
